UPDATE [JULY2008]: Facebook Group, MTV Selected 2nd Time, A Club Concept Created, Promo Mixes, Some Gigs

It has been a while since I blogged here, but now, creating a change!

First out, the blogging has been just a little more frequent on the internal blog over at the DJ Anders community, and I think of keeping it that way, where especially new gigs and tracklists for promo mixes will be posted there with a deeper detail. Blogging here is more likely to be a newsletter format, with sporadic updates. First some history in the snippet format and with some links to the DJ Anders Community at http://djanders.ning.com. And next time I post here, some news of future plans :) !

Facebook Group - now with shortlink

MTV Selected - second round

Around the year shift ending December 2007, I participated with some mixes at MTV Selected, with voting making me land in the middle field - they are archived and tracklisted here. You can listen to them through the media player/streamer in the sticky blog post as well above, together with all the other promo mixes.

Club2Club - a club concept created

In May, me, together with Johannes Fredheim and my fellow resident DJ Fred Acler, and partnering with my manager Jimmy Persson for the A&R and booking consultancy through Icon Management & his network, and our first guest DJ's Manuel Le Saux and Cliff Coenraad, manifested the kick-off and première of a new Club Concept, named Club2Club. It was taking place at Black Horn, the venue known for various live concerts and niche club concepts in general, and the date was May 9, 2008. We got quite an extensive media coverage, both in the free entertainment magazine distributed around town called nollelva, and in the local newspaper NT (Norrköpings Tidningar). Our friends at NEMCOM arranged some other stuff the same weekend, and we got a joint coverage announcing their guest DJs DJ Anneli and Calle Dernulf for the weekend. The support was a bit limited, but those who found their way to the première night had a night to remember! Quality trance and grooves, to say the least! Promo mixes - spring and summer celebrations

Gig back to back with Fred Acler at Diod - The Electonic Party

Since the warmup two-and-a-half hours back2back with Fred Acler went really well, we decided to go for another gig, when we got invited as headliners by NEMCOM at the same day as their première day of PomPom i Parken that took place before the night party Diod. Their resident had mysteriously just disappeared (found later, no worries), so we were asked to take the music from opening the doors - and what a gig it became! Almost five hours with some old tunage classics together with the newest of the new, and a various style blend. The gig was at Sweden's national day, and it was summer hot! June 6, 2008 :). PomPom in the Park - turning to PomPom at the Backyard beyond some showers

July 12, NEMCOM arranged their second outdoor event for the summer, PomPom in the Park - where I played last year as well - and invited Fred Acler and me for another back2back gig, at Folkparken the past weekend. Unfortunately the heavy thundershowers surprised the arrangers, and after some two hours they were forced to move all equipment and the PA to Kulturhuset, a café-like get together spot indoors. Fred Acler decided to stay at home with this move, and I had a solo gig that was very energized closing the day 21-22, and when the sun returned some were dancing at the backyard at the beats and harmonies!
