Great news for the Cause!
I got a paper accepted for submission and presentation at the conference "Science for Sustainable Development", Västerås, 14-16 April, Sweden (http://www.ieh.se/vhu/konferens - in Swedish).
"Sustainopreneurship - a conceptual fusion for world improvement?"
My paper will be presented and discussed in the session "Sustainable development, economy and business", Friday April 15, at the second day of the conference. Abstract available for download below.
The paper will have its base in the core contribution of my conceptual study presented in my Master Thesis for publishing later this year, but also presented in position and relation to the core purpose of the conference. The additional notes made to the presentation of the model for Sustainability Innovations will be made with this in mind. I translate from the evaluation of the submissions of papers the purpose of the conference (also available for download for interested - in Swedish);
"The purpose with the conference is to clarify and create dialogue beyond the disciplinary borders about existing departures (e. g. ethical, political, philosophy of science-related) of research about and for sustainable development within technology, natural science, social sciences and humanities. These departures and basic assumptions are in many cases governing both problem formulation as well as the view of what is a desirable societal development and/or the actions taken contributing to solutions in the form of new technology, new lifestyles, economical governance tools, more knowledge, new organisation etc. Of this reason, it is interesting to initially focus the discussion around these points of departure and make them the object for dialogue and critical review beyond the disciplinary borders. We are also expecting that an increased insight of the differences and similarities in basic assumptions with different projects and disciplines are increasing the possibilities for the research community to first and foremost develop cross-disciplinary, but also multi- and transdisciplinary science."
If you want to be a part of a pre-conference peer review group, and take part of my paper and give critical review points in order to enhance the quality of the outcome, please say. Send a mail to peer-reviewer [at] sustainopreneurship.biz. Deadline for pre-conference paper submission is March 31, 2005, so I would like to have your interest of this said before March 15, so I can take care of your contribution.
I promise to offer a dinner to all peer reviewers giving remarks leading to quality enhancement of the outcome, as well as adding you to foreword and acknowledgements :).
