So, Seth Godin is marketing his book to come with a new dedicated blog.
"All marketers are liars."
But Seth is using this blog to market his new book. There can only be one thing coming out of this. Either, as a marketer, Seth is lying, and some marketers are in fact telling the truth. Or, he is telling the truth, and then he is himself a liar.
Well, there is always the third option.
That he is the first marketer telling the truth, and all marketers before him was actually liars. Then there is considerable amount of value being the first mover to have an advantage. But if no one is believing him, then there is no advantage being first.
If you think I should be nominated to be the second, why not drop me a line. Honestly (sic...!), that would be an experiment greater than anything...
So I start right off. Message:
I come in peace. I come in trust. No [tm]'ed tagline. Just so.

PS. I never thought of having this blog as a marketing tool for a book in the first place. But maybe I will. Or not. I will follow the steps of Godin to see if it works :). Enough having fun. But - referall value anyways - go check his blog, it is amuzing, and enlightning. And I have no share of the book if you buy it, just to let you know :). DS.

Today's New York Times had an excellent article "How to Do the Right Thing?" that featured Seth Godin book "All Marketers Are Liars" among several other cool business books http://www.nytimes.com/2005/05/08/business/yourmoney/08shelf.html
