[#causebizbook] Radical Rethinking of the Book Authoring Process

Silence again, for a while. The art of "macroblogging" still has to be trained from my side! Seems my microblogging is the way to go for the more frequent publishing.

But - Enters - the "now"!

Time has come to relaunch efforts, and an epiphany in the process of the book authoring has occured. It will be having two publishing milestones, instead of one. My first thought was to crowd-source for all eight parts / 34 chapters before the first publishing.

Now, I concluded that the heavier emphasis on the "me"-part of the book - manifested by my old publications from the academic world going through a merge, adaption, re-editing, merge and total rework process to fit for the popular accessibility - will be published first. This will also be done together with a total update of materials with new stories to add and tell, with two new chapters in the end for the Past - Present - Future analysis, pointing to the next level of "we".

Then, in this next phase, beyond the "me" writing, focusing progress and deeper study of my models developed, but not published, together with creating a really big bulk of deeper story-telling of case stories as new empirical material, will be using the stronger "we" in the process. Those who care of the topic, and those having exactly that - a sustainopreneurial story to tell, and those contributing with their individual knowledge to leverage collective and collaborative wisdom! The process of truly "wikifying" all the way!

One month ago, I jotted down a new outline, with no Parts, only eight Chapters, to organize and structure the material - aiming for a 250+ page book, with 200+ pages of text and the rest pictures, graphs, graphics and illustrations, as a middle landing to launch the bigger effort for the 550+ page full volume mentioned earlier in my blogging here. So here it goes, the new;

As a teaser of the material to come, I guide you towards ten blog texts and many of the videos featured on the sneak beta release of Ideas For Change!

This lighter entry level makes it also more manageable for me, and provides me an opportunity to make a systematic revisit to my earlier texts and expect some new insights to occur by this, together with adding the stories happening beyond March 22, 2007, where the auto-biography ended in the Master Thesis! Also, a heavy picture sharing will be done, since earlier publications never introduced the vast picture material I have over the years. And with the reference base expanding as well, together with the concept of Social Business of Yunus, the idea seems to be spreading in many dimensions, an update needed there as well!

I intend to blog away the chapters 1-3 in parallel with 4-6, and then reflect deeply blogging separately the chapters 7 and 8 emerging from there. Still, I do hope to get some feedback from you, the reader, on the material - on the way towards publishing!
